Our New Security Guard and Other Improvements to

Children's Academy

At Children's Academy we take pride in ensuring that we will take every action possible to provide a safe and learning devoted environment for your child.  Recently, we have taken even more steps to make this promise a reality.  We believe that children should feel that their learning environment is valuable and free of outside negative influence.  By providing a positive situation for our students, they can learn, play, and grow confident in themselves and their surroundings.

~You have probably noticed our new security guard, Josh Alexander, at Children's Academy.  He has been hired for the safety of our children, staff, and parents.  Please do not expect him to accompany your child/ children to their rooms.  He must stay at his assigned areas.  If you see a suspicious person or activity on the grounds, please, always report it to the security officer or the front desk.  Joshua is certified and trained to handle emergency situations.

~All of our parking areas and loading and unloading points are monitored by video surveillance by the office staff and security guard.  A monitor system is in place througout the school and playgrounds to alert and notify teachers and students of any emergency situation on the school grounds.  Teachers are also equiped to contact the other teachers and office staff at all times.

~Mandatory and regulated tornado and fire drills are conducted on a montly basis for all classrooms.

~There have been new enchancements to our facilities added at Children's Academy!  We have recently had our duct work cleaned, and a UV light added to our furnace.  This addition will help all of our students and staff, especially those that have allergies and asthma.  It will also cut down the spread of airborne communicable diseases. 

~ A semi truck load of new mulch has been delivered to be added to the playgrounds for you children's safety.

~In Room two, (toddler room) we have replaced the broken and/ or non-working toys and added many new educational materials. 

~~There is a new parent/ teacher resource center located in room 4.  This will contain materials concerning things that may benefit you, your child, and your family. 

~Remember, all of our staff has received CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and many other workshops that benefit the well being of the children.  The recently hired teachers have already been signed up to receive CPR and Child Abuse.
