GENERAL INFORMATION 
Children's Academy is licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Education
The school provides quality childcare from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday
We serve children from 18 months through 12 years of age
We provide the following:
Preschool
Pre-Kindergarten
Kindergarten
First and Second Grades
Before and After School Child Care
Summer School-Age program
A nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack is served daily in a family style setting.
Our staff is professional and care about the children. We are trained in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Diseases, and Child Abuse and Neglect.
**We accept subsidized childcare and are contracted with Franklin County & Pickaway County Department of Job and Family Services**
A Typical Preschool Day

Children arriving. Warm, friendly greeting to each child. Hanging up outer garments in specified area. Quiet activities, table games, etc. |

Children wash hands and sit down to eat breakfast. The school age children go off to school on their school district's bus. |

9:00 a.m. |
Table activity such as clay or dough, sponge painting, paper/paste art, finger painting, cooking, puzzles. |

10:20 a.m. |
Outdoor free choice-balancing activities which are stimuli for large muscle developement. |

11:00 a.m. |
Individual rooms-Group activities, conversation groups, creative rhythms, music, discussion groups, concept games, science, and finger games. |

11:15 a.m. |
Story Time |

Home-cooked lunch with adults taking part. Conversational, relaxed lunchtime. |

12:00 p.m. |
Naptime on Individual cots, with an adult in each room. |

Waking up from nap. Dressing, etc. |

Snack time (nutritional afternoon snack) |

A Typical School-Age Day
The program for school-age children is designed to provide opportunities for each child to plan, carry out, and evaluate his or her activities. Through program planning we strive to include a variety of activities in the center and beyond in the community. as in the preschool programs we provide for daily, active play including opportunities for team sports.

Return from school and planned program facilitated by staff. Snack is served. Outdoor play, team sports, art/craft projects, table games, quiet area. |

Children will be permitted to choose from offered activities and encouraged to make suggestions for future projects. If activities that require special frustration and/ or facilities are planned, additional fees may be requested of the parents.
